Hi, I’m Anisa Heck

I work in digital and data strategy consulting, primarily in the food and beverage industry.

Over the years I’ve become increasingly interested in the systems that shape how people, organisations and technologies interact. That curiosity has led me into topics as varied as artificial intelligence, organisational change, food science, learning and human behaviour.

At first glance these subjects might seem unrelated. To me they all ask a similar question: how do we make complexity more understandable?

At The Overlap is where I think through those questions in public. I write essays that connect ideas across disciplines and look for the patterns that emerge where technology, food, work and everyday life intersect.

Professionally, I help organizations navigate digital and data challenges. Personally, I’m fascinated by systems, food, learning and the surprising ways that complex ideas show up in ordinary experiences.
